Crews from Ekana Nursery and Landscaping planted an American Dream Oak tree on Friday, April 26, 2024 in La Salle. The cemetery planted the tree on Arbor Day and it is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. The cemetery lost over 50 trees in the last decade due to the age of the trees and the derecho that stuck the area in 2020.
