A semi rollover on Interstate 39 near Lostant caused flames and smoke to be seen for miles.
Lostant Fire Department responded 11:15 p.m. Monday to Interstate 39 northbound milepostá42 for the crash.
Lostant firefighters arrived to a full engulfed semi on its side. The semi was pulling double trailers and is a total loss including its contents. There were no injuries, said the Lostant Fire Department in a press release.
The crash closed Interstate 39 northbound from Route 18 to the Tonica exit as vehicles were rerouted to Route 251.
At 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters cleared the scene and I-39 northbound remained closed while Illinois Department of Transportation and Senica Towing cleaned up the scene.

Illinois State Police District 17 is handling the investigation of the crash. The Illinois Department of Transportation and Lostant Police Department also responded to assist.
