Mendota announces plans for July 11 fireworks display

Parking is limited to 350 vehicles

Mendota will host an Independence Day fireworks display and music Saturday, July 11, at Lake Mendota Park.

The Mendota Area Chamber of Commerce coordinated this year’s celebration through donations from community businesses, organizations and individuals.

To ensure the safety and well-being of all spectators, the Mendota Area Chamber of Commerce has been working with local agencies to develop a plan that follows all guidelines in compliance with Phase 4 of Restore Illinois.

Parking is limited to 350 vehicles, with one vehicle per parking space. Chamber volunteers will be available to guide arrivals into parking spots from 7 to 9:15 p.m.
