SPELICH — Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Spelich (Megan George) of Hernando, Fla., girl, Paige Elizabeth, Dec. 27, Shands Children’s Hospital, University of Florida Medical Center, Gainesville.
Maternal grandparents are Steve Virginia George of Homosassa, Fla. Paternal grandparents and Tom and Sandy Spelich of Peru.
Police reports
Procopio Alfano, 57, of 224 Main St., Ladd was charged with no insurance and improper lane use after a single-vehicle accident, in which his vehicle entered a ditch, at 7:04 a.m. Friday on Route 89 near the U.S. 6/Route 89 junction, Spring Valley police said.

Cheyenne S. Smith, 24, of Granville was charged with driving while license suspended, operating an insured vehicle, expired registration and obstructing identification at 2:13 p.m. Wednesday on Route 251, Peru police said.

Mark E. Brown, 61, of 1202 Fisk Road, Compton was transported to Valley West Hospital by Somonauk EMS after a single-vehicle accident at 3:17 a.m. Tuesday in DeKalb County, on Chicago Road east of Howison Road, according to DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Brown was traveling westbound on Chicago Road, just east of Howison Road, when he fell asleep and ran off the roadway in the ditch. The vehicle went off two separate culverts in the ditch, flipping once, and then coming to a stop after colliding with a utility box. Brown was charged with no insurance and improper lane usage, police said.

Jennifer Pufpaf, 38, of 506 11th St., La Salle was charged with speeding 30 mph less than 40 mph over the posted limit after a three-vehicle accident at 3:14 p.m. Wednesday at Dakota and Richards streets, Spring Valley police said. All three vehicle’ drivers refused transportation to a hospital.

Joshua Lunde, 42, of 1204 James St., Streator was charged with criminal trespass to a residence at 8:11 a.m. Thursday at his residence, Streator police said.

Ashley Moats, 27, of 124 W. Hickory St., Streator was charged with no valid driver’s license/expired more than one year at 2:24 p.m. Thursday at East Broadway Street and Iowa Avenue, Streator police said.

Ashley J. Coon, 35, of 201 W. Second St., Spring Valley was picked up at 1:37 p.m. Wednesday in her residence on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear (battery), Spring Valley police said.

Heather Barth, 29, of Ottawa was treated and released from OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa, for minor injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident, in which her vehicle entered a ditch, at 2249 N. 2653rd Road in Fall River Township, La Salle County Sheriff’s Office said. There were no charges.

Julie Bumbar, 39, of Aurora was charged with disobeying a stop sign and no insurance after a two-vehicle accident at 6:50 p.m. Thursday at U.S. 52 and Route 71 in Mission Township, La Salle County Sheriff’s Office said.
Bumbar was charged after colliding with a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old male, police said. There were no injuries.

SHEFFIELD — Betty J. Dieci, 73, of 418 S. Church St., Sheffield was charged with violation of an order of protection at 9:53 a.m. Thursday at 421 S. Main St., according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

PRINCETON — Zachary R. Hamm, 18, of 235 N. Mercer St., Princeton was charged with failure to appear at 3:34 p.m. Thursday at his residence, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

PRINCETON — Tyler C. Williams, 34, of Wyanet was charged with driving with a suspended license at 8:19 p.m. Wednesday at Ace Road and Claude Bailey Parkway, according to Princeton police.
