Misty Stremlau of Tonica serves chili at the fire station Saturday night. The chili supper, combined with the Deer Night event, help support the Tonica Volunteer Fire Department, which relies on donations and does not levy taxes. Hunters brought in 10 deer. John Goskusky took the prize for biggest doe at 105 pounds. Winning the title of Chief’s Choice, awarded by Tonica Fire Chief Al Stremlau, was Todd Hale with a 194-pound buck. Garret Keith was the youth winner with a 135-pound buck.
