St. Bede Academy’s homecoming festivities kicked off Thursday with the homecoming parade follwed by the girls powder puff football game.

Today’s activities include reunion gatherings as well as the student variety show at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday’s events are off and running at 8 a.m. with the annual Jim Lattin 5K Run/Walk, an 8:30 a.m. alumni association open meeting, the athletic hall of fame ceremony at 10 a.m., tailgating starting at noon and fan gear sales starting and the Bedan Club food pavilion opening soon after that.
The blessing and rededication of St. Bede’s historic wooden doors is set for 1:30 p.m.
The crowd at the 2 p.m. football game vs. Sherrard can honor the Golden Bedan class of 1969 at halftime.
Several Bruins-filled bands will perform on stage near the water tower, weather permitting, in the Bruins Jam, scheduled to start after the game and last until 9:30 p.m.
Sunday’s activities include the alumni Mass at 10 a.m. and induction of Golden Bedans class of 1969 and an 11 a.m. brunch.
This year’s Distinguished Alumnus will receive an award at the brunch.
The students’ homecoming dance takes place Sunday night.
