Aspartame poisoning is becoming an increased risk for Americans today. New information on the dangers of the low-calorie sweetener is released often, but associations funded by Mansanto, the creator of aspartame, make it almost impossible for any negative information to leak through to the public.

One major discovery connects the mystery of the Desert Storm health problems with this hazardous chemical of today. At the end of Desert Storm many troops came home very ill; it is now said that more than 60 of these cases can be directly related to the consumption of an aspartame product.

Several thousand pallets of diet sodas were shipped to the Desert Storm troops. The drinks then sat for weeks at a time beneath the Arabian sun with temperatures reaching 120 degrees Fahrenheit. An article issued by the Food and Drug Administration revealed that when the temperature of aspartame exceeds 86 degrees Fahrenheit, the wood alcohol in aspartame converts to formaldehyde and then to formic acid. Formaldehyde is grouped in the same class of drugs as cyanide and arsenic, two deadly poisons. All day long, the troops drank their diet sodas which had converted themselves into poisons.

Upon entering the body, aspartame breaks down into its component chemicals, including methanol, aspartic acid, phenylalanine and a chemical called diketopiperazine (DKP), said Naturopathic Physician Ted Broer. So far, methanol’s toxicity has caused the biggest problems of the four chemicals. Many people with aspartame poisoning are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis because the effects of methanol toxicity mimic those of multiple sclerosis. However, unlike multiple sclerosis, methanol toxicity is a death sentence since there is no known way to reverse its symptoms.

Some symptoms that occur from this disease are fibromyalgia symptoms, spasms, shooting pains, numbness in your legs, cramps, vertigo, dizziness, headaches, tinnitus, joint pain, depression, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, blurred vision and memory loss. There are 92 documented symptoms of aspartame poisoning, most of them are neurological because the sweetener destroys the nervous system, but some are as serious as a coma or death.

Recently, there has been an increase in people diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Dr. H. J. Roberts, a diabetic specialist and world expert on aspartame poisoning, said that the poisoning has been escalating Alzheimer’s disease. Roberts also said that consuming aspartame at the time of conception can cause birth defects. In the original lab testing of aspartame, animals that were tested began to develop brain tumors.

Today there are more than 5,000 products that contain this chemical, and the aspartame poison has been made available in more than 90 countries worldwide.
