Storm runners No. 12
The final Class 1A cross country coaches' poll of 2009 ranked the Bureau Valley boys cross country No. 12 in the state. The poll was released Tuesday.
This is the year's final poll because the cross country postseason starts Saturday.
Two other area boys teams received votes this week in the coaches' poll - Hall and Ottawa Marquette.
Bureau Valley received the No. 12 ranking this week after not being ranked last week. The coaches' poll was not released until Wednesday last week because of the Columbus Day holiday, and it was the only poll of the season that did not include the Storm among the top 15.
