L-O, DePue girls hoops end seasons with loss

The No. 10-seeded LaMoille-Ohio girls basketball team fell 54-23 to No. 9 Galva while No. 11 DePue fell to No. 8 Midland 59-29 as both teams were ousted in the Class 1A Annawan Regional quarterfinals.

For L-O, Brooke Motter led with six points.

The Lady Lions finish the season 4-19.

PHS girls basketball comes up short versus E-P

The No. 11-seeded Princeton girls basketball team fell 55-51 in overtime to No. 6 Erie-Prophetstown in a Class 2A Erie Prophetstown Regional quarterfinal on Monday in Prophetstown.

The Tigresses were up most of the game but E-P rallied to tie the game at the end of regulation before winning in OT.

Taylor Quiram led PHS with 20 points.

Henry girls basketball falls to Tri-Valley

No. 8-seeded Tri-Valley defeated No. 9 Henry-Senachwine/Lowpoint-Washburn 51-32 in a Class 2A Fieldcrest Regional on Monday in Minonk.

Tri-Valley will face No. 2 Fieldcrest in a semifinal on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Princeton boys hoops downs E-P

The Princeton boys basketball team defeated Erie-Prophetstown 60-42 in a Three Rivers Conference East Division game on Monday in Erie.

Jamie Reinhardt led the Tigers with 16 points.

Newman boys hoops downs BV

Newman defeated Bureau Valley 59-54 in a Three Rivers Conference East Division game on Monday in Newman.

Kale Barnett led BV with 15 points.

L-P reschedules Field of Dreams public forum

La Salle-Peru High School has rescheduled the Field of Dreams public forum to discuss field repairs at Howard Fellows Stadium to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Matthiessen Auditorium at L-P high School.
