June Gosse Palmer, 79, of Gillette, Wyo., formerly of Princeton, died Oct. 11, 2009, in Pioneer Manor Residence Home, Gillette.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel at Oakland Cemetery, Princeton. Members of her family will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded.
There will be no visitation. Norberg Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Palmer was born June 25, 1930, in Garden City, Kan., to Gosse G. and Dorothy (Dickenson) Wiltz. After two previous marriages in 1950 and 1956, she married William E. Palmer on Dec. 31, 1979.
She graduated from Princeton High School in 1948, growing up on the family farm that included land upon which now are the Bureau County Fairgrounds as well as St. Louis Catholic Church. She attended University of Illinois for one year. She moved from Rockford to Gillette in 2005.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Gosse of Centreville, Va., and Deborah L. (Jeremy) Michaels of Gillette; two sons, Jan W. Gosse of Denver, Colo., and Durbin G. Downey of Novato, Calif.; three granddaughters; one grandson; and one brother, Dickenson G. (Carol) Wiltz of Eden Prairie, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 2005.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Arthritis Foundation of America or Bureau County Historical Society.
