Esther Chamberlin, 97, of Lostant died at 3:50 a.m. Oct. 17, 2009, in Manor Court, Princeton. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Leonore. Burial will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Leonore.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church in Leonore. Arrangements are through Mueller Funeral Home, Lostant.
She was born March 26, 1912, in Streator to William and Francis (Mueller) Meyers. She married Walter Chamberlin on July 4, 1932, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Streator. Mrs. Chamberlin was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
She worked for Westclox factory in Peru for 15 years.
After the death of her husband, she lived with her daughter and family until she moved to reside at Liberty Village Retirement Home in Streator in March 2003. She moved to Liberty Village Nursing Home in Princeton in April 2007.
Survivors are one son, Dean (Lynne) Chamberlin of Chillicothe; three daughters, Carol Jean (Glenn) Salisbury of Streator, Jacqueline Kennell of Bourbonnais and Suzann (Edward) Schorn of rural Lostant; 18 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Rosemary (Robert) Schmitt of Overland Park, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 30, 1977; one daughter, Sharon Rose; two sisters and five brothers.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Chamberlin, Mike and Dale Schorn, Robert and Larry Salisbury and Kevin Kennell.
