David A. Farley, 69, of rural Earlville died Oct. 13, 2009, in his home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Bethany Lutheran Church, Leland, with Pastor Sherry Hoening officiating. Burial be at Leland Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday in Turner-Eighner Funeral Home, Somonauk, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
Mr. Farley was born Dec. 26, 1939, in Ottawa to Fremont C. and Ferne O. (Wormland) Farley. He graduated from Leland High School, and then entered the U.S. Marines for four years. He farmed in the Earlville area most of his life. He was a member of Leland Masonic Lodge 558.
He is survived by one brother, Donald "Pete" Farley of the Illinois Veterans Home at La Salle; several nieces and nephews; and caregiver and special friend Pam Dean.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
