PRINCETON — A Princeton woman and Wyanet man were charged with drug-related felonies, according to a Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotic Team release.
James H. Pryor , 34, of Wyanet was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 2 felony, and Vanessa M. Sissel , 41, of Princeton was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, MDMA, a Class 4 felony, TRI-DENT said. Sissel also has pending charges for the heroin located following a state’s attorney review, according to TRI-DENT.
A Bureau County Sheriff’s deputy pulled over a gray Lincoln with Illinois registration at 2 p.m. Thursday at Epperson and Backbone roads on the west side of Princeton for multiple traffic violations, TRI-DENT said.
TRI-DENT agents arrived following the stop. A Princeton police dog conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle, and the K-9 indicated to the presence of the narcotic odors.
The driver of the vehicle, Sissel, and passenger, Pryor, exited the vehicle as a search was conducted by TRI-DENT agents.
Agents located approximately 6.5 grams of heroin, 4.5 grams of methamphetamine, less than 1 gram of MDMA (ecstasy) and a small amount of cannabis along with other drug paraphernalia.
Both were transported to Bureau County Jail, where they’ll await a felony bond hearing.
