Three people were charged with felony possession of methamphetamine after a buy-bust operation that yielded more than 22 grams of purported meth at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Civic Road in La Salle, the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team said.
Chelsea N. Hardin, 24, of 307 Main St., Sparland and David M. Harris, 37, of 1176 N. West St., Galesburg were charged with unlawful delivery of a methamphetamine, a Class X felony carrying 6-30 years in prison, TRI-DENT said.
A third suspect, 36-year-old Thomas E. Robertson II of 711 E. Main St., Knoxville, was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony (2-5 years) for allegedly possessing less than 5 grams, police said. However, police also seized suspected counterfeit $100 bills and additional charges may be pending. Bond hearings are pending in La Salle County Circuit Court.
