PRINCETON — Princeton Fire was called to a structure fire at approximately 2:45 p.m. Thursday at a S. Main Street business.

Responders discovered upon arrival the rear entry of 518 S. Main Street was in flames. Princeton Fire Chief Chuck Woolley in a news release said the fire was quickly knocked down and no residents had to be rescued from the building. The exterior of the building and a back room of the building received water and fire damage with the rest sustaining smoke damage.

The owner of 518 N. Main is Angle L. Gutierrez who resides in one of two upstairs apartment at that location. The first floor of the building housed the business Security Finance. The tenants will be displaced until damage can be fixed. Little Blue Dress, the business to the north of the fire, 514 S. Main received heavy smoke damage to the store and inventory. 522 the business to the south of the fire, 522 S. Main also received heavy smoke damage to the store and its inventory.

Princeton Fire was assisted at the scene by scene by Princeton Police, Bureau County Sheriff's Department and Princeton Electric. No injuries were reported.
