OTTAWA — An Ottawa man was charged with arson Tuesday following an investigation into a suspicious June 14 fire at his residence, Ottawa police said.
Salvador Ochoa, 53, of 1605 Chestnut St., Ottawa was picked up Tuesday in Princeton on a La Salle County warrant charging him with two counts of arson, a Class 2 felony with a base sentencing range of 3-7 years. Bond is set at $20,000.
Ochoa was developed as a suspect in the fire that damaged his own home and damaged a home to the south, police said. There were no injuries.
