An Ottawa man faces two counts of sexual exploitation of a child for exposing his sex organs to a person under the age of 17, according to the Ottawa Police Department.

Ottawa police were sent to the 700 block of East McKinley Road at about 10:30 p.m. Aug. 6 after a man allegedly “exposed his sex organs to two juvenile girls for the purpose of sexual arousal or gratification,” police said.

“Police obtained statements from the girls and developed Bradley E. Weaver, 58, of 1413 Dakota Drive, Unit C as a suspect. Ottawa police continued the investigation the next day and other potential witnesses in the area were also interviewed. The information was transferred to the La Salle County State’s Attorney’s Office,” police said.

On Tuesday, an arrest warrant was issued for Weaver and he was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon at his residence. Bond was set at $2,000; he needed to post $200 for release.

The charges are Class A misdemeanors according to Ottawa police.
