A 32-year-old Oglesby man was charged with three counts of possession of child pornography after local law enforcers cooperatively served and followed through on a search warrant Friday morning, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.

At 8:23 a.m., La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance of the Oglesby and Peru police departments, La Salle County State’s Attorney’s Office and Illinois Attorney General’s Office’s High Tech Crime Bureau executed a search warrant at 133 E. Second St., Oglesby, as part of an ongoing investigation into child pornography, according to sheriff Tom Templeton.

As a result, Timothy M. Stephens of Oglesby was arrested and taken to La Salle County Jail on the three charges, with bond set at $75,000, the sheriff said. He could be free on bond if he posts $7,500.

Convictions for Class 2 felonies carry a sentence of 3-7 years in prison.
