HENNEPIN — A McNabb man is in custody after an approximate seven-hour incident with authorities.
Billy J. Marcano, 31, of 410 S. Main St., McNabb taken into custody after he exited his apartment around 9 p.m. tonight and surrendered to police, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office responded with two officers and requested additional manpower from local law enforcement agencies to contain the subject. Units from Spring Valley police, La Salle County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois Valley Special Response Team, Illinois State Police District 17 and Illinois State Police Crisis Negotiation Team responded.
Marcano’s being held on a Putnam County warrant for burglary at this time with more charges possible in the future after reports are reviewed by the Putnam County State’s Attorney’s Office, the sheriff’s office said.
