For every ballad offering solemn fatherly advice there’s a ditty (or two) about some seriously bad dads.

In honor of Father’s Day, NewsTribune Lifestyle Editor Chris Yucus, a new dad himself, compiled “Fine Fathers and Bad Dads” a playlist that showcases the good, the bad and the ugly of songs about fatherhood.

With tracks from Creed's inspiring “Arms Wide Open” to John Prime's soul-crushing tale of “a hole in daddy’s arm where all the money goes” in his classic "Sam Stone" — it’s not always pretty.

But neither is changing diapers.
